Announcement of the Digital Unified Invoice of Donation For Public Welfare
NYU Shanghai Education Development Foundation has recently upgraded its financial receipt system, fully implementing electronic unified donation receipts for charitable contributions, effective from October 28, 2024. See the following information for more details:
1. Legal Validity: The NYU Shanghai Education Development Foundation officially launched electronic donation receipts on October 28, 2024. Paper donation receipts for charitable contributions are no longer issued. The electronic donation receipts bear the seal of the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau and the special electronic seal of the NYU Shanghai Education Development Foundation, holding the same legal validity as paper receipts.
2. Required Information: For charitable donations, donors need to provide the following information:
- Donor Name (individual name or company name)
- Unified Social Credit Code (for corporate donations)
- Recipient Email (for receiving the electronic donation receipt)
3. Receipt Issuance: Once issued, the electronic donation receipt will be automatically sent to the email address provided at the time of donation, and donors can download the electronic receipt themselves. If you need the receipt printed and mailed to you, you may contact the Foundation.
4. Receipt Verification: Donors can verify the authenticity of the electronic donation receipt by visiting the Ministry of Finance's National Electronic Invoice Verification Platform at http://pjcy.mof.gov.cn.
