NYU Shanghai Has Allowed Me to Discover and Explore My Interest in International Relations.

I am extremely grateful for the generosity of our donors, as it was truly the only way I would be able to attend NYU Shanghai. When I was a senior in high school, I never dreamed that I would spend my college years traveling the world, finding life-long friends from over 40 countries, or studying at such an open-minded and innovative school. The generous scholarship I received made this all possible.

NYU Shanghai has allowed me to discover and explore my interest in international relations. Growing up in a world where terrorist attacks have become ever present and influential, has had a big impact on me. This university allowed me to explore this interest as an academic field through courses on behavior, politics, history, and foreign policy. In my junior year, while studying abroad in New York, I was able to take a terrorism course that solidified my intentions to continue onto graduate school in the field of security studies.

I have grown so much as a student and a person while living and learning with such a diverse and impressive group of peers in one of the greatest cities in the world.
